Drivers of the transition to a circular economy – how countries go circular

On behalf of the EU-funded SWITCH to Green Facility, Susanne documented the Circular Economy transition processes at national level to produce insights on selected country experiences in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Susanne analysed information from conducted interviews with stakeholders including EU Delegations, national governments, the private sector and civil society from Colombia, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uganda and Senegal. The brochure identified vision and motivation of actors in the circular economy transition process, the key challenges met, and the milestones set and lessons learnt. The research was conducted by Camilla Shearmen, Ilka Buss (Ecuador) and Anna Urgeghe (Colombia).

Green practices supporting the circular economy transition

With the publication „Supporting the Circular Economy” Susanne takes the reader on a journey across selected economic sectors, with a view to inspiring and encouraging a switch to green, notably circular, practices. She researched facts and figures on the environmental impact of economic activities, and explains the challenges faced in each sector. She complemented each section with stories from the field, showcasing successful green economy projects with strong replication potential. The publication benefits from strong illustrations and infographics produced by Paula Molina from Ecovantis.
